The rapid development of broadband technology is increasingly closing the distance between users. Broadband technology offers a widening range of options for end users to communicate with friends, family, colleagues and business partners in other areas or countries more effectively and economically than via ordinary telecommunications services. PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) has captured this opportunity by strengthening its broadband infrastructure to support product and service innovations in the field of Information, Media and Edutainment (“IME”). As well as opening new revenue streams for the company, Telkom’s focus on delivering IME also represents Telkom’s contribution to the economic and social development of the nation.

The following definitions explain our TIME services:

TELECOMMUNICATIONS
Telecommunications is Telkom’s legacy business. Telkom has built its reputation on delivering fixed wireline ‘Plain Ordinary Telephone Services’ (“POTS”), fixed wireless telephony, data communications services, broadband, satellite, leased networks and interconnection services, as well as cellular telephone services through its subsidiary, Telkomsel. Telkom’s telecommunications services reach all market segments, from individual customers to small and medium enterprises (“SME”) and corporate customers.

INFORMATION
Information services are being developed by Telkom as one of its New Economy Business (“NEB”) business models. These integrated services, aimed at facilitating business processes and transactions, include Value Added Services (“VAS”) and Managed Application/IT Outsourcing (“ITO”), e-Payment and IT enabler Services (“ITeS”).

MEDIA
Media is another of the Telkom business models that is developed as a part of NEB. The offered services include Free To Air (“FTA”) and Pay TV to suit modern digital lifestyles.

EDUTAINMENT
Edutainment is one of the core business models in Telkom’s NEB, targeting the younger user market segment. Telkom offers a broad range of services, including Ring Back Tones (RBT), SMS Content and portals among many others. 
 
 
We firmly believe that our commitment to unlimited mobility and connectivity will boost confidence among both retail and corporate customers in the quality, speed and reliability of the services and products we offer. The proof lies in our growing number of subscribers, which reached 129.8 million by December 31, 2011, representing a growth of 7.8%. Core Business : International Telecommunication
PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia International or further called as “Telin” are one of the subsidiaries of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk. (Telkom) an Indonesia’s largest telecommunication and network provider. Telin also owns licenses for the fixed and closed network establishment in Indonesia, as well as the Facility Based Operator (FBO) license in Singapore, Unified Carrier License (UCL) and MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) license in Hong Kong. These affirmed Telin as the official network and telecommunication provider. The availability of fully protected network enables Telin to provide reliable services that reaches all parts of the world.

PT. Dayamitra Telekomunikasi (Mitratel) was established in the year of 1995 originated from the Telkom KSO partners in Kalimantan region,  Dayamitra Malindo is owned by several private companies of national and foreign private sector. PT Pramindo Ikat Nusantara (“PRAMINDO”) was established under the Notarial Deed of Benny Kristianto, S.H., No. 135 dated October 17, 1995, having its registered office in Jakarta. This Notarial Deed was approved by Minister of Justice of the RI under the Minsiter’s Decree No. C2-13.200.HT.01.01.TH.95 dated October 18, 1995 and published in the State Gazette No. 101 dated December 19, 1995.

Year 1975 was the beginning of business of PT Infomedia Nusantara as the first company providing telephone information service in Indonesia. Under sub-division of Elnusa GTDI from Pertamina subsidiary, Infomedia has published Telkom Telephone Directory Yellow Pages.
The development shown by the establishment of PT Elnusa Yellow Pages in year 1984 which changed its name in year 1995 to be PT Infomedia Nusantara when PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk. made investment. To support implementation of Good Corporate Governance at each aspect of company activity, Infomedia has published policy of company management guidelines in year 2008.
On June 30, 2009, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk. (TELKOM) through PT Multimedia Nusantara (Metra), the subsidiary with 99.99% share owned by TELKOM (hereinafter referred to as TELKOMGroup) has signed Shares Sales & Purchase Agreement (SPA) to buy 49% share of PT Infomedia Nusantara (Infomedia) owned by PT Elnusa Tbk. (Elnusa), so that 100% share of PT Infomedia Nusantara has been owned by TELKOMGroup.

Now, Infomedia with its vision to be a provider of key information services in the region has made various efforts to realize the vision by optimizing a competence in an opportunity to expand future business through transformation of business from 3 Business Pillars (Directory Service, Contact Centre Service and Content Service) toward Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Digital Rich Content (DRC).

Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) is defined as outsourcing provision business done by the third party for the company to one or several business functions in multi year contract. BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) run by Infomedia is at present has voice based services such as Contact Centre both for inbound and outbound and non voice such as direct mail and web development. On May 7, 1997, four (4) companies, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk. (35%), PT Rajawali Citra Televisi Indonesia (RCTI) (25%), PT Megacell Media (20%) and PT Datakom Asia (20%) have agreed to establish a company engaged in the field of pay Television and Internet service named PT Indonusa Telemedia (Telkomvision).

The corporation has changed its share ownership and in June 2008 there was a change in share ownership from Datakom Asia to PT Multimedia Nusantara (METRA), so that the corporation has then been owned 98.75% by PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk. and 1.25% owned by PT Multimedia Nusantara (METRA). This strategic step is in line with TELKOMGroup goal in expanding its business line with the concept TIME (Telecommunication, Information, Multimedia and Edutainment).

According to the company tag line ‘’this is just different”, in its business management, Telkomvision is the first operator of Pay TV in Indonesia launching product of DTH Prepaid (Pay TV Satellite Prepaid), in which the subscribers can buy any voucher at any time. In early 2009, the company developed DTH Postpaid (Pay TV satellite Postpaid) to support strategy penetrating city after previously preparing business model and minidish equipment according to the urban community need, in which business model run by several competitors in cities is by method of equipmnet borrowing for the subscribers.

In order to support DTH Postpaid service, the company has opened several monthly donation payment places or filling in/purchasing voucher places to facilitate subscribers buying or filling in voucher through ATM at Bank BCA, Bank Mandiri, Bank BII, ATM Bersama through HSBC, Bank Mega Syariah, and Post Office (online) all over Indonesia.
